Anti-government protest begins in Damascus  

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Anti-government protests began on Tuesday in the city of Jaramana in the southeastern countryside of Syria’s capital Damascus over poor living conditions. 

North Press correspondent said residents gathered in al-Ra’is (President) Square to protest poor daily life conditions and demanded better water, electricity, and basic services.

The correspondent added that te protesters blocked roads leading to Damascus International Airport and the Damascus-Jaramana highway.

This is the second day where the protesters take to the streets in anti-government protests. The protesters showed their determination in continuing their protests, the correspondent added.
