AANES condemns Turkish strike of civilian car in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) condemned on Wednesday a Turkish drone attack on a civilian car in the city of Kobani, northern Syria.

Hours ago, a Turkish drone targeted a civilian car in a street crowded with civilians.

The AANES condemned, in a statement, the strike and the  previous Turkish attacks which targeted infrastructure facilities, including power plants and mills, as well as health institutions.

“Today, we are witnessing in Kobani city, once again, how civilians get killed and how their cars get targeted. The Turkish occupation state adopts the approach of killing and aggression against the Kurdish people,” the statement read.

The statement continued, “We, as the AANES, condemn in the strongest terms these brutal practices by the Turkish occupation state. We also stand with our people at this time and stress that this approach will not succeed.”

The administration further pointed out that they want to convey the voice of all the people in northern and northeastern Syria to all human rights organizations so that they fulfill their humanitarian duty towards the people of the region.
