Jordan foils smuggling drugs operation on border with Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Jordanian Customs and the Jordanian General Security Directorate announced on Tuesday foiling an attempt to smuggle drugs coming from Syria.

The Customs stated that an attempt to smuggle 237,000 drug pills was thwarted at Jaber border crossing carried by two vehicles coming from Syria.

The Customs further stated that upon inspection, it was found that the drug shipment was concealed within foldable wooden epoxy tables in the first vehicle, and within children’s beds in the second vehicle.

On Mar.13, the Jordanian authorities foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs from Syrian territories.
