Turkish association finishes building new settlement in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – With Palestinian funding, a Turkish association completed on Tuesday the construction of a new settlement in northern Idlib Governorate, northwestern Syria, near the Turkish-Syrian border.

An employee in a humanitarian organization told North Press that Aile Yardimlasma Dernegi association (Global Family Aid), a humanitarian organization based in Istanbul, completed the construction of a new settlement near the town of Kafr Lossin in northern Idlib near the border with Turkey.

The number of settlements built by Turkish organizations – with support from Gulf countries such as Kuwait and Qatar, as well as Palestinian associations – has exceeded 100 in Turkish-controlled areas in northern Syria.

The employee further added that the new settlement includes about 100 housing units, a mosque, a Quran teaching center, and a school. The settlement is the fourth in that area.
