ISIS claims responsibility for 2 attacks in Syria’s Hasakah
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility on Monday for two attacks in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria. One of the attacks was carried out against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Media outlets linked to ISIS released a statement saying ISIS militant targeted with machine guns an oil tanker in the village of Sabah al-Khair in the countryside of Hasakah on the road to Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.
The statement added the attack resulted in damage in the tanker.
In another statement, the outlets said ISIS militants shot and injured an SDF fighter in the al-Aziziya neighborhood in the city of Hasakah.
Attacks and activities of ISIS sleeper cells continue across Syria, especially in Deir ez-Zor Governorate. Eastern Syria.
On Feb.3, ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack against two members of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) in the town of Abu Hardoub in the east of Deir ez-Zor. The attack resulted in the killing of one and the injury of the other.
