Iran’s IRGC vows to respond to U.S. threats
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Hossein Salami, Commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated on Wednesday that his country will respond to the U.S. threats.
Salami stated that they are aware of the threats issued by U.S. officials.
“We know each other. We do not seek a war, but we are not afraid of it,” Salami stated.
On Jan. 28, three U.S. troops were killed and 34 others were injured in an attack on a U.S. military base in Jordan near the Jordanian-Syrian border. Washington accused Iranian-backed militias operating in Syria and Iraq of carrying out the attack and vowed to retaliate.
Tehran rushed to deny any involvement in the attack on the U.S. base.
