Turkish soldiers kill civilian on border in Syria’s Afrin

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – Turkish border guards killed on Friday a Syrian man and injured another while attempting to cross the Syrian-Turkish border in the countryside of Afrin, northwestern Syria.

A source in Afrin Hospital told North Press the hospital received two individuals shot with bullets while trying to cross the Syrian-Turkish border near the village of Hamam in the west of Afrin.

The source added that an unidentified man in his thirties was fatally shot in the head by a sniper and arrived dead at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the other was seriously wounded in several places in his body.

In another incident, a man died days after he was tortured by Turkish border guards while trying to cross the Syrian-Turkish borders in the countryside of Idlib, northwestern Syria.

Khaled Ahmad al-Fakhri, who hails from Hama Governorate, west-central Syria, died after nine days in the ICU in Ibla Hospital in the city of Idlib, northwestern Syria.
