Unidentified gunmen attack SDF posts in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen launched on Monday attacks on posts of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, for the second consecutive day.
A military source in the SDF told North Press that unidentified gunmen attacked a military post of the SDF in the village of Jamma in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor with an RPG and machineguns, without causing casualties.
The source added that two other attacks by unknown gunmen targeted the al-Jisr checkpoint in the village of Daranj and a guard post near Suwaydan desert in the eastern Deir ez-Zor, causing material damage.
Meanwhile, the SDF raided the homes of suspects involved in the attacks, arresting four individuals in the Latwa neighborhood in the town of Diban in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, according to the source.
