AANES, NGO hold sessions for women out of Hawl Camp in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – A humanitarian organization, in collaboration with the Social Affairs and Labor Committee of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in the city of Manbij, northern Syria, organized on Monday a series of awareness sessions for women who left Hawl Camp to integrate them into the community.
Mahmoud Qouja, an official in the Social Affairs and Labor Committee in Manbij, told North Press that the sessions are held, in cooperation with QRD Organization, for women and children who left Hawl Camp.
He added that 36 women participated in the first awareness session, noting that recreational activities for children will be held as part of the Organization’s program.
He pointed out that the Organization will hold more sessions for women and children to integrate them into the community and encourage them to engage in activities and sessions that contribute to greater integration into local communities.
In late May 2023, a batch of Syrian IDPs, consisting of 57 families with a total of 225 individuals, left Hawl Camp and headed to the city of Manbij. It was the 23 batch leaving the camp since 2020.
