SDF finds weapons intended for terrorist attacks in Syria’s Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) found late on Friday a quantity of weapons and ammunition in the countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
The SDF said in a statement that they found a quantity of weapons in the village of Alwas in the town of Shaddadi in the southern countryside of Hasakah. These weapons were intended to be used by terrorist groups to target SDF forces and densely populated cities and villages, according to the statement.
On Dec. 12, 2023, the SDF found several mortar launchers used in an attack on their joint base with the U.S.-led Global Coalition in the countryside of Shaddadi after conducting an extensive combing operation.
