Woman injured in Turkish shelling in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – A woman was injured on Wednesday as a result of Turkish shelling that targeted two villages in the western countryside of the city of Manbij, northern Syria.
A local source told North Press that the Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), targeted the villages of al-Kawikli, Qart Weran, with mortar and artillery shells, resulting in material losses to the properties of the residents.
The source stated that the shelling resulted in the injury of a woman in the village of al-Kawkli, as well as causing material damage to residents’ properties in both villages.
On Jan. 8, Turkish forces targeted the village of Qart Weran with drone strikes.
