Government forces target areas in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday at night, the Syrian government forces renewed bombardment on areas in the southern countryside of Idlib, northwest Syria, amid news about Turkish shelling of positions of the government forces in the area.
According to opposition media platforms, the government forces targeted the village of Fatterah, in the southern countryside of Idlib, with missiles and heavy artillery.
Additionally, the government forces targeted the vicinity of the village of Afes and the towns of Sarmin and al-Nayrab, east of Idlib. No casualties or material damage were reported.
The bombardment coincided with news about the arrival of Turkish military reinforcements to Idlib and Turkish shelling of the positions of the government forces in the city of Saraqib, east of Idlib.
