Unidentified drone strike hits IRGC vehicle in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – An unidentified drone targeted early on Tuesday a military vehicle affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, on the Syrian-Iraqi border.
A military source in the Syrian government forces told North Press that an unidentified drone targeted a vehicle carrying three IRGC militants coming from the Sukkariya Desert, northwest of Abu Kamal.
The attack directly resulted in injuries, leading to a heightened military alert state and an evacuation of IRGC posts, according to the source.
The US or Israel, who both previously carried out airstrikes in the same region, have not commented on the recent incident yet.
