QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – One US service member was injured on Friday in an attack against US forces in Hasakah Governorate, northeast Syria, according to two US officials.
US troops in Syria and Iraq were attacked three times on Friday, two US officials and Iraqi Kurdistan officials told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.
A drone attack in Tel Beydar in Syria injured the service member, who returned to duty, one of the officials said.
Drones also attacked al-Harir air base and at al-Asad base in Iraq, the official said.
No damage or casualties were reported.
The US Department of Defense said on Nov. 16 that the Iranian-backed militias have launched 58 attacks against its troops in Syria and Iraq since Oct. 17.
