Jordanian forces intercept drug-loaded drone coming from Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Jordanian army intercepted on Thursday a drone carrying drugs that came from Syria, Jordan’s state news agency Petra reported.
An official military source in the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the Jordanian border guards, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Department and the military police, detected an unauthorized drone attempting to cross the border from Syrian territory.
Recently, the Jordanian army has intensified its operations along the borders with Syria, particularly in monitoring and controlling drug smuggling.
The military source indicated that the intercepted drone, loaded with crystal meth, was seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.
In October, the Jordanian forces shot down three drones coming from Syria, one of them was carrying crystal meth.
