Woman dies from injuries sustained by Turkish border guards in Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, a Syrian woman lost her life due to injuries she sustained after being shot by Turkish border guards days ago near the town of Harem in western Idlib, northwestern Syria, marking the second such killing within October.
An administrator at al-Salam Hospital in Harem told North Press that Ghufran al-Hussein, 42, passed away as a result of the injuries sustained by the Turkish border guards after they opened fire on her on Oct. 23.
A source from Harem police reported that al-Hussein was shot by Turkish border guards while attempting to cross the border into Turkey. She was transported by a police patrol from the site of the incident to the hospital in a critical condition.
