Unknown attackers wound 2 HTS militants in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified assailants carried out on Sunday an armed attack against a military patrol of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) in the east of Idlib Governorate, northwest Syria, injuring two militants. This is the fourth attack in August.
An exclusive source told North Press that unknown individuals attacked an HTS military patrol heading towards the town of Sarmin in the eastern countryside of Idlib, damaging their military vehicle and wounding two militants. The wounded militants were taken to the Idlib Public Hospital.
He added that the attack was carried out by unknown individuals riding motorcycles and carrying light weapons. Such king of attacks has started happening since June 18.
This is the fourth attack in the countryside of Idlib since early August, with the HTS being unable to determine the identity of the attackers.
