Two government soldiers wounded in Turkish attack in Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces targeted on Sunday military posts of the Syrian government forces in the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria, wounding two soldiers.
A military source within government forces told North Press that Turkish forces shelled two of their posts on the outskirts of the villages of Tokhar and al-Jat. The strikes led to the injury of two soldiers who were taken to a hospital.
The source speculated that a Turkish drone struck the two posts. He also added they started investigating the incident.
On July 16, a Turkish drone strike hit a vehicle in the village of Hassan Agha in south of Manbij city resulting in the injury of one individual.
During the first half of 2023, Turkey attacked north Syria with 34 drone strikes, leaving behind 73 casualties, killing 44 individuals and injuring 29 others.
