Unidentified gunmen target Turkish-backed factions in Syria’s Aleppo

AL-BAB, Syria (North Press) – Two militants of a faction affiliated with the Turkish-backed armed factions, also known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), were injured on Friday midnight in a village in the countryside of al-Bab, a city east of Aleppo, northwest Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that unknown assailants targeted a checkpoint belonging to the al-Muntasir Billah faction in the village of Sosenbat in the countryside of al-Bab.

The source noted that unknown gunmen, riding a motorcycle, targeted the faction’s checkpoint, injuring two militants seriously.

The two wounded militants were transferred to al-Bab National Hospital amid a state of military alert by militants of the Military Police, a faction affiliated with SNA, in al-Bab and militants of al-Muntasir Billah, the source added.

Al-Bab city has been under the control of Turkey and the SNA factions since 2017.

The SNA held-areas continue to witness security chaos with many clashes and recurrent explosions amid the inability of the factions to maintain order there.
