Two government soldiers killed in eastern Quneitra
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, two soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed in the eastern countryside of Quneitra, southwestern Syria.
A local source told North Press, “Locals found the bodies of Mahmoud Warda and Ahmad Muhammad al-Hourani between the villages of Jabah and Mashara in the eastern countryside of Quneitra.”
The source added that the two soldiers had been kidnapped earlier today by unknown gunmen, noting that gunshot wounds were found on their bodies.
The government forces transferred the two bodies to Martyr Mamdouh Abaza Hospital before handing them over to their families.
The source pointed out that Warda was a soldier serving in the army, while al-Hourani was a member of the Baath party Brigades (a pro-government militia).
Government officers, soldiers, and militiamen and are repeatedly targeted by unknown gunmen in the southern and southwestern regions of Syria.
