Freedom from US dollar become necessary – al-Assad
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – It is increasingly necessary to release the US dollar in transactions, said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Saturday, praising, at the same time, the Chinese role in the Middle East.
This came during al-Assad’s meeting with the Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East, Issue Zhai Jun, who visited Damascus yesterday.
Al-Assad stressed that the confrontation has been economic in the first place, which makes it increasingly necessary to release the US dollar in transactions.
Al-Assad pointed out that the most significant positive change in the world has been the Chinese role, which is increasing in a calm and balanced manner, Syria’s state-run news agency SANA reported.
He indicated that the Chinese role has become a new model in politics and economy.
The Syrian president noted that the entire world today needs the Chinese presence politically and economically to rebalance the global situation, taking into account the Russian-Chinese relations.
He also praised the Chinese mediation regarding the rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
