HTS kills 4, injures 5 government forces in missile attack in Aleppo

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Members of Syrian government forces, including an officer, were killed and injured on Tuesday in an attack on a military vehicle with a guided missile launched by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) in the west of Aleppo. 

Military sources in the al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room told North Press that HTS targeted with a guided missile a troop transporting vehicle and a gathering of several government forces in Base 46 in the west of Aleppo.  

The attack resulted in the killing of one officer and three soldiers in addition to the injury of five others that were inside and near the targeted vehicle, the sources said.

The sources added that the HTS killed two members of the government forces in Base 46 in the western countryside of Aleppo. They also announced shelling positions for the government forces with mortars and Katyusha rockets causing instant casualties.
