Israeli drone falls in Syria during routine activity
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli drone fell in Syria on Wednesday during a routine activity, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
In a statement, the IDF said there was no concern over a leak of classified security information due to the drone, adding that “the incident is being investigated.”
On Wednesday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that an Israeli airstrike targeted Aleppo International Airport, putting it out of service, in a second attack this month.
On March 7, an Israeli airstrike put the airport out of service for several days.
Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside Syria over the past few years, targeting what it says to be Iranian-backed militia’s strongholds.
