Diplomats meeting of Syria, Russia ,Turkey, Iran in Moscow postponed
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A meeting of the deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Turkey, Iran and Syria, scheduled on Wednesday, has been postponed to an unspecified date, a source from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.
The meeting was postponed for “technical reasons”, according to the source.
It was scheduled that Syrian, Turkish, Russian, and Iranian diplomats would meet in Moscow on Wednesday for two days as a part of efforts to improve the Syrian-Turkish relations.
Turkey’s efforts to normalize relations with Syria have developed over the past two months.
Late in December 2022, a trilateral meeting took place between the defense ministers of Turkey, Syria and Russia in Moscow, marking the first high-level meeting between Syria and Turkey since the onset of the Syrian war in 2011.
