Missile attack claims lives of two people in Syria’s Idlib

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, two individuals were killed in an unknown missile attack on a motorbike in the northern countryside of Idlib, northwestern Syria.

A security source told North Press that “a guided missile, said to be fired by a drone, targeted a motorbike on the outskirts of Rouhin camp on Qah route north of Idlib.”

The source added that the attack killed two individuals “who are most likely leaders in the radical group of Guardians of Religion Organization (Hurras al-Din, al-Qaeda affiliated group).”

The two targeted individuals were transferred to Atmeh Hospital on Syrian-Turkish border in order “to detect their identity,” according to the source.

The source noted the targeted site is still witnessing significant mobilization by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front), collecting evidence to known the source of the attack.

The HTS set up a security checkpoint to check the passing cars, the source said.
