4 Syrian security personnel injured in Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Four Syrian government security personnel were injured on Thursday after a military vehicle was targeted in the countryside of Daraa.
A local source told North Press ,“Four members of the State Security Branch of the Syrian government were injured as an armored military vehicle was hit by an IED on the road between Jassem and Inkhil towns in northern Daraa.”
“Government forces sent a military vehicle to the area where the car had been targeted to transfer the injured to Jassem National Hospital, and set up a temporary checkpoint to check cars and scrutinize people searching for perpetrators,” the source added.
An officer in the government threatened to bring in a heavy force in case such acts are repeated, according to the source.
“The officer asked people of the area either to collaborate with security forces to reveal who stands behind such acts or face a military operation,” the source noted.
Last week, Daraa witnessed separate attacks by unknown people in which four lives were claimed.
On February 17, a Syrian soldier was killed by unknown gunmen in the city of Sanamayn.
