FMs of Syria, Turkey, Iran, Russia to hold quadrilateral meeting

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that the foreign ministers of Iran, Syria, Turkey and Russia would hold a meeting to seek a solution for the Syrian crisis without specifying a date.

Iranian semi-official Mehr news agency said, citing Bogdanov as saying, “We all have a common goal to resolve the situation around Syria.”

Iran has also expressed its desire to join the negotiation process, according to Bogdanov.

Such meetings are supposed to lay down conditions for Syria-Turkey negotiations, which might pave the way for potential agreement, he added.
