First European aid plane arrives at Damascus
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a Norwegian plane onboard humanitarian aid arrived at the Damascus International Airport, marking the first European plane to arrive in Syria since the quake hit the country on February 6.
On February 17, an Italian ship, loaded with humanitarian and relief aid sent by Italy and the EU, arrived at Latakia’s port for people hit by the quake in the country.
On Wednesday, two Indonesian planes arrived at Damascus onboard an official delegation and a rescue team to render aid to quake-affected people.
On Tuesday, Syrian authorities announced 200 planes carrying aid had arrived in Damascus, Aleppo and Latakia since the quake hit north Syria.
