37 humanitarian aid trucks enter northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, 37 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid entered northwest Syria via Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Turkey, north Idlib. The aid is provided by United Nations agencies and other international organizations.
A well-informed source told North Press, “An aid relief convoy, made up of 22 trucks provided by the UN and 15 others provided by charities, entered northwest Syria.”
“The aid has been handed over to partnered organizations operating in the area which in turn will distribute items to people affected by the earthquake,” he added.
Medical supplies have been handed over to Hand in Hand and Relief International. Logistical items and relief aid have been handed over to Watan Foundation.
For the third day in a row, humanitarian aid is being delivered to areas under the control of the Syrian opposition in northwest Syria. These areas have been considerably affected by the earthquake that hit south Turkey and north Syria at dawn on February 6.
