Two children injured by war remnants in south Hasakah

SHADDADI, Hasakah (North Press ) – On Wednesday, two children were injured slightly in a landmine explosion in a town in southern Hasakah, likely planted by the Islamic State (ISIS) when the group was controlling the town.

A local source from the town of Tel al-Shayer told North Press, “Ahmad Abdullah, 10, and Abdullah Muhammad Abdullah, 3, were injured in a landmine explosion in the outskirts of the town.”

The source added the blast took place while the two children were grazing their flock of sheep.

The two children were taken to the medical center in Shaddadi town then to Hasakah city to receive proper treatment. Their condition was said to be stable.

Such incidents are not strange to areas in south Hasakah which pose threats to locals.
