RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for targeting a vehicle of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the town of Jdeideh Kahit in the eastern countryside of Raqqa, north Syria.
ISIS-affiliated Amaq news agency said in a statement, “Militants of the organization targeted with heavy machine guns a military vehicle of SDF close to the town of Jdeideh Kahit in eastern Raqqa.”
An SDF fighter was killed and others onboard the car were injured in the attack, Amaq claimed.
Earlier, Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) said a member was killed and two others were injured in an attack on a vehicle in eastern Raqqa.
On December 26, ISIS sleeper cells carried out an attack on an Asayish center in the city of Raqqa which claimed four Asayish lives and three SDF’s, according to a statement issued by the Asayish.
