Paris shooting targets Kurdish cause – Mazloum Abdi

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Commander in Chief, Mazloum Abdi, condemned on Friday evening the attack by a 69-year-old attacker in central Paris that targeted Kurdish activist, stressing it targets the Kurdish cause.

Earlier on Friday, three individuals were killed and four others were wounded in a shooting incident at a Kurdish community center by a recently released attacker.

Abdi said in a tweet in the Kurdish language the attack is political in nature and targets the Kurdish cause, it should not go unpunished.”

Abdi expressed confidence that the French president and judicial institutions are going to reveal criminals and their supporters.

The SDF Commander in Chief extended condolences to the victims’ families. 

He highlighted the need to “expand coordination and cooperation against terrorist actions.”

earlier today, French President Emmanuel Macron said in a tweet in French that the “heinous attack” targeted Kurds of France.

French police detained the suspect without resistance and reportedly recovered the weapon used in the attack.
