Body of SDF fighter found in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Residents of a town north of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, found on Wednesday the body of a member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who had been killed by several gunshots.

A local source from the town of Muajil, near al-Suwar town in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, told North Press, “The residents found the body of Kamal al-Nuhairi, a man in his thirties and a member of the SDF. He was on a furlough in the town.”

The source added that al-Nuhairi was killed by several gunshots in his body, and that his body was found near a farmland on the outskirts of the town.

The pathologist who examined the body informed North Press that “it has only been few hours since the incident.”

The countryside of Deir ez-Zor witnesses assassinations of SDF fighters on almost daily basis, most of these attacks are claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS).
