Government soldier injured in Turkish shelling on Syria’s Kobani 

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, a soldier of Syrian government forces was reported injured in a Turkish shelling on the countryside of Kobani, north Syria.  

A military source told North Press that Turkish artillery shelling targeted the three villages of Chareqli, Zor Maghar and Kharab ETO in the west of Kobani, where soldiers of the government forces were present.  

The Syrian soldier was injured in Chareqli, the source noted.  

Since November 20, intense and wide spread aerial operation is being carried out by the Turkish forces against north and northeast Syria which has claimed tens of lives and destroyed facilities and infrastructure along the whole border strip from Aleppo northern countryside in the northwest up to Derik (al-Malikiyah) in the northeast.    

A local source said a Turkish artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of Koltap, Koran and Jishan villages in the east of Kobani. However, no damages were reported.
