Syria’s AANES establishes biggest park in its areas
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Salwa al-Saleh, co-chair of Hasakah municipality said on Tuesday that by spring of 2023, they will open the biggest park in northeast Syria.
Hasakah municipality in coordination with Municipalities Board of the Autonomous Administration of North and East (AANES) has started working on building a 42-acre-space park in the city of Hasakah since late October.

Al-Saleh told North Press that they are facing several obstacles, most notably is that they have to finish within a specific time due to “urgent need for an outlet because of the lack of public parks in the city and to support vegetation.”
“There will be parts for kids amusement, for practicing sports … [and] for relaxing, [and] a car garage,” she said.
The AANES did not determine a budget for the park, al-Saleh noted, adding, “We will provide the required support during the period.”
Kalash Khleif, the project manager, said that the location of the park is connected to three main roads in Hasakah, in addition to the fact that it is a strategic location close to all neighborhoods.
“The [park] is designated by experts form northeastern Syria, including architects, agronomists and civil engineers,” Khleif added.
The park will be completed in April 2023, according to Khlief.
