Two ISIS houses detonated in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Local gunmen destroyed on Saturday two houses that were taken as headquarters for Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in the town of Jassim in the northern countryside of Daraa, south Syria.
Local sources told North Press that the first house was in the southern neighborhood, south of a cement foundation, and it was taken as headquarters by Ahmad Abu Zaid Sbineh, an ISIS militant.
Sbineh was killed last week during clashes with local gunmen in the town, the source added.
The second destroyed house, in al-Mansuri area west of the town, was taken as headquarters by an Emir of ISIS whose identify was known.
A leader of the local gunmen told North Press, on the condition of anonymity, they will detonate all the houses that ISIS was taken as headquarters.
He added on Saturday two houses were detonated, they were taken as headquarters for two Emirs of ISIS, one of them is Sbinah, who was responsible for a number of assassinations against former opposition members and those of the Central Committee.
He indicated that a total curfew was imposed until 3 pm on Saturday, which could be extended if needed.
Since the government forces re-captured Daraa in 2018, the governorate has been living in a state of insecurity, with one or two daily assassinations targeting soldiers and officers of the government forces, not to mention the spread of thefts.
