IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – One person was killed and two others were wounded on Thursday in an explosion of a landmine in the town of Kafr Zita in the countryside of Hama Governorate.
A local source told North Press that a mine from remnants of war exploded in a farm near Kafr Zita, north of the city of Hama.
The explosion killed Amro Hassan al-Ammouri and injured Ahmed Dadouch and Yasser Abdel Aziz al-Naddaf. All three are from the nearby town of Morek, according to the source.
The three were taken to Hama National Hospital.
After fix months-siege and fierce battles with the Syrian armed opposition groups, the Syrian government forces took control of Kafr Zita in August 2019.
