Bus blast in Syria kills 18 government soldiers

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday morning, a bomb exploded near a military bus of the Syrian government forces in Rif Dimashq Governorate, southern Syria, killing and wounding several soldiers.

The state-run SANA News Agency said, the explosion killed 18 soldiers and wounded 27 others.

This is one of the deadliest explosions that target the government forces.

Similar attacks over the past years have killed and wounded dozens of soldiers in government-held areas of Syria.

In March, 13 soldiers of the government forces were killed in an explosion of a military bus near Palmyra in central Syria.

Syrian authorities have not commented on the incident so far.
