DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Saturday arresting nine members of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
The SDF Media Center said in a statement that their forces, supported by the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, managed to capture nine members of the terrorist group.
The statement said that the militants were arrested “in the villages of al-Kassar, al-Tigayhi, and al-Zir in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.”
“Weapons, communication equipment, and documents proofing their affiliation with ISIS” were confiscated in the operation, the SDF added.
On Friday, the SDF Counter-Terrorism Units arrested three ISIS militants in the al-Jala’a Farm in the northern countryside of Raqqa.
