Iran turns Syria into terrorist country – Israeli Defense Minister
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli Minister of Defense, Benny Gantz, said on Wednesday that Iran is arming its proxies in Syria with weapons that would harm the war-torn country and turn it into a terrorist state.
Gantz added that the Syrians are the ones who pay the price for these acts, reported Al-Hurra TV channel.
The Israeli minister pointed out that the Iran’s expanding influence in Lebanon may destabilize the region.
He said that Iran is trying to buy Lebanon by supplying it with fuel, repairing its electricity system and building power plants,” Gantz said at an event in the town of Katzrin.
Iran’s ambassador in Beirut, Mojtaba Amani, has said that his country is ready to provide fuel to the Lebanese state, two Lebanese government sources told Reuters on September 7.
