DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government announced on Tuesday the recording of 253 new cholera infections in its held areas.
The new infections are recorded as follows: 180 in Aleppo, 29 in Deir ez-Zor, 25 in Hasakh, 13 in Latakia, four in Homs, and two in Damascus.
The total death reached 23 cases disturbed in 20 in Aleppo, two in Deir ez-Zor and one in Hasakah.
The ministry pointed out that a “unified treatment protocol” has been approved and circulated, which is available in all its forms.
Additionally, hospitals are being reinforced and provided with an additional stock of treatment and supplies in anticipation of any increase in the number of cases.
On September 10, the ministry announced the recording of 15 cholera infections in Aleppo Governorate.
