One killed, others wounded in Aleppo countryside
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – A person was killed and others were wounded on Monday due to an assassination operation in the city of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, amid security chaos in the areas run by Turkish-backed armed factions.
An exclusive source told North Press that unidentified gunmen riding a motorbike opened fire on a person, killing him directly and wounding four others in al-Bab city, east of Aleppo.
The murdered person is called Hussam al-Hussein from the town of Hraytan in the western countryside of Aleppo, and works as a micro-bus driver in al-Bab city, the source added.
The source pointed out that four people were wounded including critical injuries due to the indiscriminate shooting that followed the assassination near Fatima al-Zahraa’ mosque in al-Bab.”
Since 2017, al-Bab city has been run by Turkish-backed armed factions the most notable of which are al-Hamza faction, Sultan Murad and Ahrar al-Sham.
The areas held by Turkish-backed armed factions witness insecurity, instability and chaos due to the factions’ failure to control the situation.
