5th festival for Children held in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Under “Children are Wings of Freedom,” the Baqi Khedo Center for Culture and Art in the city of Kobani, north Syria, in cooperation with the feminist movement of “Golden Crescent” organized Child’s 5th Festival in the Euphrates Region, on Saturday.

The festival was attended by more than 500 children and 25 artist bands from northeast Syria, according to the preparation committee.

Mirkhan Ismael, an administrator in the Golden Crescent, told North Press that the festival included art, music, folklore dance displays and drama.

Bands from Raqqa, Manbij, Sirrin and Tabqa took part, according to Ismael.

Ismael noted the goal of such an annually festival is to present to the public talents embraced by the children with the aim of fostering and developing their talents.
