Aleppo records two deaths, 35 cholera cases

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Al-Razi Governmental Hospital in the city of Aleppo, northern Syria, revealed on Sunday the recording of two deaths of cholera infections and 35 confirmed cases, a medical source told North Press.

The source said that the two cases are for residents of the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

The source added that hundreds of people, who have symptoms similar to cholera, visit the hospital on a daily basis.

Most of the patients are from the countryside, and most of the infections are the result of the lack of clean water.

On Saturday, due to the inability of the al-Razi Hospital to accommodate patients, surgical operations were stopped, transforming it into an isolation center for cholera patients, according to the same source.

Ministry of Health of Syrian government announced on Saturday the recording of 15 cholera infections in Aleppo governorate.
