Organization counts Turkish violations against children in Syria’s kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Ahuman rights organization has counted Turkish violations against civilians in the city of Kobani, north Syria, which is occasionally targeted by Turkish drones and artillery.
Co-chair of Euphrates region human rights organization, Ahmad Dawoud, told North Press that the majority of victims of Turkish attacks are civilians including children and women.
The toll of victims for 2022 reached ten children, one of whom lost his life, and the remained nine were injured, including a child who had his leg amputated in the eastern countryside of Kobani.
The total toll of victims for 2021 reached ten children, five of them lost their lives and the five others were injured, according to Dawoud.
He pointed out that Turkish shelling of areas in northeastern Syria is “a repeated scenario of previous crimes and violations by Turkish forces in the region.”
