Turkish shelling hits mill in Syria’s Kobani

Kobani, Syria (North Press) – A mill in the city of Kobani in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, got out of service on Tuesday due to Turkish shelling of the area.

Abdulbaset Muhammad Ali, co-chair of the Agricultural Community Development Company in the Euphrates region said that the mill, which was working 24 hours, got out of service.

The Euphrates region is an administrative division that includes the cities of Kobani, Raqqa and Tel Abyad in addition to their countryside. The region is affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

He told North Press that the shelling targeted electricity generators which damaged the electric system of the mill and completely destroyed it.

Kobani and its countryside have been shelled by Turkish forces since early morning hours.
