ISIS leader blows himself up in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A leader of the Islamic State (ISIS) was killed on Tuesday after blowing himself up during clashes with Syrian government forces which besieged him in one of the houses in Daraa western countryside, southern Syria.
A local source told North Press that Muhammad Abdullah al-Ba’eh aka Abu Salem al-Iraqi one of ISIS leaders in Daraa, blew himself up in a suicide vest after clashes went between him and a patrol of government’s security forces in his place of residence in Adwan town in the western countryside of Daraa.
The clashes led to the killing of a member of the security forces and the injury of four others who were transported to a nearby hospital.
Following the clashes, the government forces mobilized in the vicinity of the towns of Adwan and Tasil, and set up a temporary military post there to check people’s IDs.
It is worth mentioning that Abu Salem al-Iraqi who comes from Iraq’s Mosul Governorate, is on of ISIS leaders in south Syria.
He was being followed by the government forces, and he settled down in Yarmouk Basin west of Daraa before the government forces took control of Daraa. Then, he flew out of the area and shifted into different areas in the governorate.
