Turkish-backed factions clash with government forces east of Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, fierce clashes took place between Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions and Syrian government forces on contact lines in Tadif southeast of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
The clashes between the two parties were accompanied by flight by Russian aircrafts over the area.
An exclusive source told North Press that the two parties exchanged fire for over an hour, using light and medium weapons.
Tadif usually witnesses intermittent clashes between the two parties as both control different parts in the town.
The Turkish forces and their affiliated factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), have been running al-Bab city since 2017.
The SNA-held areas undergo security chaos, including explosions, persistent fighting between the factions and assassinations in light of the factions’ failure to maintain security there.
