Turkish forces bomb several villages in Aleppo northern countryside

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated opposition SNA factions bombed on Tuesday several villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo, with dozens of artillery shells.

The Turkish forces bombed with more than 30 artillery shells the outskirts of the town of Tel Rifaat and the villages of Sheikh Issa, Harbel, Kafr Nasih and Bailouniyah, a military source told North Press.

On June 1, President Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey will launch a new military operation in northern Syria’s Tal Rifaat and Manbij, confirming the targets of the new incursion for the first time and saying it will continue into other regions.

The Turkish forces targeted the aforementioned villages from the Kaljibrin military base,  south of the city of Azaz, north of Aleppo, the sources added.

According to the sources, the Syrian government forces responded to the Turkish forces by shelling the town of Marea, north of Aleppo, with several artillery shells.
