Turkey finances terrorism and uses it for its own interests- Hawl Camp administration
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The administration of Hawl camp, east of Hasakah, north Syria, said on Tuesday that the Turkish potential military operation proves that Turkey is not only a supporter of terrorism, but also the first investor in it.
In a statement, the camp administration said that Turkey supports terrorist organizations through training and recruiting networks and sending them to countries of the Middle East, the Caucasus, Europe and Central Asia, as Turkey is using these radical groups to blackmails other countries.
The camp administration warned of the danger of Turkish threats, which pave the way for terrorist organizations to reorganize themselves, especially in Hawl Camp.
The statement read that the new attack on northern Syria would cause a humanitarian catastrophe.
Hawl camp houses thousands of ISIS families. Murders have increased in the camp recently, especially in the Iraqis sector.
The camp’s administration condemned the international silence over Turkey’s threats of launching a new military operation in northeast Syria on the pretext of establishing the safe zone.
The statement called on the guarantor countries (Russia and America) to assume their full responsibilities regarding the region.
Turkey and the Turkish-backed opposition SNA factions have recently targeted many villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo, Kobani, Ain Issa and northern Hasakah, the statement added.
The Turkish shelling caused new wave of displacement. About 200 families were displaced towards different camps in north east Syria, while others headed to cities such as Hasakah, which increases the humanitarian crisis in the region, the statement noted.
Hawl Camp, 45 km east of the city of Hasakah, houses 56,775 people, the majority of them are Iraqis. While thousands of wives and children of foreign dead and detainees of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) members live in a special section within the camp. It also houses thousands of internally displaced Syrians, according to the recent obtained statistics.
